Location: Lehi, UT 84043 highly preferred. Open for San Jose, San Francisco and Waltham, MA. Hybrid position – 2/3 days onsite required.
Duration: 8 months
Contract Type: W2 only
Pay Rate: $55.12/Hour
 
The Opportunity
  • Client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst responsible for consolidating and reporting expense data for use by the FP&A team for tracking and decision-making.
  • This position will report to the Principal Product Manager and partner closely with the Information Technology team. The finance team celebrates understanding the big picture, and this role will balance cross functional project management, with rigorous analysis. We strive to influence key decisions affecting the business and seek top talent to help us steer the ship.
 
Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of client’s expense types and their data sources
  • Consolidate expense data sources into a master file via SQL, in partnership with the Client’s Information Technology team
  • Assist the Finance organization with mapping expenses to a business hierarchy, which will be reflected in downstream reporting
  • Build a dashboard to allow Financial Planning & Analysis stakeholders to easily understand and monitor this data on an ongoing basis
  • To facilitate strategic decision-making, ensure dashboard allows for tracking of expenses vs. forecasts, prior periods, and other relevant benchmarks
  • Develop processes to allow for manual adjustment to expense data where necessary and advised by Finance team
 
Required Skills
  • We are looking for an analytically minded individual with finance experience.
  • Experience managing the end-to-end creation of dashboards based on FP&A data.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with teams including Finance, IT, and Engineering.
  • Experience with data analysis, SQL and relational databases, and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Be able to simplify the complex, quickly define the objective, propose a solution, and validate the hypothesis with data.
  • FP&A, Anaplan, SAP, and analytical programming (Python, R, or equivalent) experience are all big pluses.
  • Most successful candidates will have 5-7 years of relevant work experience.
  • MBA preferred, or equivalent business experience.
