Job Summary:
  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Management Expert to join our team. This role will provide high-touch consulting support for our strategic initiatives and play a pivotal role in driving our Product Management Center of Excellence in the Adobe Technology Services organization.
  • The ideal candidate will enhance our product management capabilities and drive success across our organization by contributing to a fast-paced, highly matrixed, and ambiguous environment.
  • They will have a deep understanding of product management best practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Management Mindset, Standards, and Methodologies: Develop, implement, and promote product management standards and best practices, such as defining product requirements, crafting product visions, and establishing key success metrics. These efforts support the transformation to a Product-Led mindset within the Client's Technology Services organization, involving over 130 internal product managers and related product team disciplines (e.g., User Experience, Architecture, and Engineering).
  • Consulting Services: Provide high-touch consulting support to product teams on high-visibility, multi-year CIO-level strategic initiatives. Offer tailored advice and guidance on product management best practices, processes, and methodologies. May include acting as a "Proxy Product Manager" to lead by example.
  • Training, Coaching, and Workshops: Develop and deliver relevant and customized training programs, coaching support, and workshops to enhance the skills and knowledge of product managers and their teams and bringing product management standards & best practices to life in real-world application.
  • Diagnostics and Process Optimization: Conduct maturity assessments and diagnostics to evaluate product team performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop targeted development plans. Along with five partner Centers of Excellence, including Portfolio Management, Program Management, User Experience, and Enterprise Architecture, to identify process bottlenecks and provide recommendations for streamlining workflows and improving efficiency throughout the product development process.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish clear product management organizational performance metrics that align with business goals and product success and monitor progress to ensure continuous organizational improvement and maturity.
  • Change Management & Internal Marketing: Establish and execute change management and marketing plans to ensure adoption of the product management mindset, standards, and best practices to the Client's Technology Services organization of 3K workers and partnering business units.
 
Required Skills:
  • Proven experience in product management, with a track record of successfully leading and delivering, and launching complex projects.
  • Strong understanding of product management best practices, methodologies, and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in conducting training, workshops, and coaching sessions to large groups of 50+ people.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
 
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in consulting or advisory roles, particularly in product management.
  • Familiarity with maturity assessments and diagnostics.
 
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Design, User Experience, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years experience in product management role.
