Business Intelligence Engineer III

Key Responsibilities:
- Provides robust BI solutions for complex problems, that are extensible and scalable.
- Designing, developing, and managing cloud-based analytics tools to develop self-service/automation capabilities.
- Partnering with Customer Experience program and analytics teams to identify new product development ideas, draft technical requirements, and build solutions to enable teams to achieve organizational goals.
- Advocate the team on cloud-based tools/services for data deep dives, and insight generation and help stakeholders to think/operate at scale.
- Research Collaborate and Implement new technologies and methodologies to solve challenging business problems.
- Serve as liaison between the business and analytics team to achieve the goal of providing actionable insights into current business performance, and ad-hoc investigations to support future improvements or innovations. This will require data gathering and manipulation, problem-solving, and communication of insights and recommendations.
- Drives best practices in operational excellence, data modeling, and analysis. Ensure that BI solutions are correctly and efficiently supporting the business.
- Write high-quality code to retrieve and analyze data and build data visualizations to tell the story of business trends, patterns, and outliers through rich visualizations.

Job Description
In this position, we are looking for a Sr. BI Engineer with experience in applying analytics to solve complex business problems.
The ideal candidate has a demonstrable track record of success in driving business impact through the application of analytics.
As a BI Engineer, you will work closely with internal stakeholders to perform data analyses, develop complex SQL queries for ad-hoc requests and projects, define metrics through your deep understanding of the business and create self-service dashboards/reports to bring visibility into the health of the business.
You will exercise your technical skills in SQL, Python or other data analysis tools and visualization tools such as QuickSight to produce reports and build flexible dashboards and information-rich.

Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in BIE
- 5+ years of SQL experience
- Experience programming to extract, transform, and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
- Experience with AWS technologies – S3 and Athena is preferred
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quick sight, or similar tools
- Experience building measures and metrics, and developing reporting solutions
 
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
- Experience managing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Master's degree in statistics, data science, or an equivalent quantitative field
