Summary:
The main function of a business operations specialist is to maintain vendor relationships, acting as a business analyst for non-IT projects or filling organizational roles above an administrative level, but below a management level.
Other responsibilities may include maintaining all project management processes, including project goals, deadlines, metrics, and budget.
The business operations specialist usually reports to a project manager or director.

Job Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain communication services across business units or from the project team to the organization.
Maintain the storage and retrieval of all project communications data and business metrics.
Review contracts, cost proposals and contract supplements.
Set up project and work breakdown structures.
Establish and document business processes.
Track project budgets and expenditures, and monitor transaction controls and costs against budgets.
Predict potential budget overruns and offer solutions.

Skills:
Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage ones time.
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed.
Ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.
Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel; Enterprise Application experience a plus.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business management, economics, finance, accounting or relevant field required.
5-7 years experience required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS:
 looking for a Business Planning and Analysis (contractor) to conduct deep dive analysis on promotions, build promo roadmap and business cases, provide ROI analysis, and help with short-term and long-term business planning for the Home Appliance business.
This candidate will be responsible for managing weekly/monthly/quarterly sales forecasts with high accuracy using analytics and building models based on Ecommerce sales drivers, promotional analysis, and category-specific business knowledge.

The individual is expected to be hands-on in preparing Sales forecasting, product mix, risk/opportunity analysis, and evaluating Ecommerce sales drivers (Traffic, conversion rate)*** impact of promotions on different sales platforms. The major responsibility is creating a promo roadmap, conducting promo analysis (attribution, elasticity and ROI/financial analysis), building quarterly commercial plans, and creating what-if scenarios to achieve business goals. The role also includes creating insights/presentations for executive reviews. A successful candidate is highly analytical with critical thinking skills and business savvy, be adaptive and able to work cross-functionally to influence sales and operations teams working towards a common goal in a highly matrixed, fast-paced organization. 

Essentials/Duties and Responsibilities
• Hands-on to build Sales forecasting using several variables (Traffic, Seasonality, multiple promos etc.)
• Develop weekly/monthly/quarterly sales forecasts for both quantity and revenue
• [Must] Promotional analysis for attribution, elasticity and ROI/financial analysis
• Build Promo roadmap, Quarterly plan and support approval process
• Build a play book to use Promotional lift and to recommend promos to achieve goals
• Develop monthly/quarterly targets and distribute the targets to various categories/channels and traffic drivers for Ecommerce
• Support supply chain team/process on forecast and demand/supply alignment
• Deep understanding of home appliance business
• Improve long term forecasting w/suitable analytical methodologies
• Use advanced analytics methodologies such as ML/AI forecasting methodologies for sales forecasting
• Create presentations with compelling data driven story to share with leadership, cross-functional teams to provide insights and recommendations
• Work with Category Management, Finance and Operations team to define and work on gap closures

Background/Experience
• 6+ years of experience in Ecommerce business planning, category management and/or data and analytics-intensive role with an emphasis on Quantitative analytics
• Bachelor’s degree in Business/Economics or in math/analytics/engineering is required
• MBA would be a plus
• Hands-on with advanced excel with attention to detail to integrate complex data to build forecasting and to perform analysis
• Knowledge of ML/AI models for forecasting, pricing and promotional analytics for business analytics will be a plus
• Experience with Financial analysis to build business cases and to create P&L analysis
• Creative thinker with excellent business acumen, analytical skills and experience with statistical modeling
• High level of confidence, integrity, enthusiasm, and executive presence that fits a fast-paced, energetic and proactive organization
• Adaptability, using advanced preparation to quickly pivot throughout the week
• Exceptional presentation skills with good Microsoft PowerPoint capabilities
• Experience of working with Telecom, Technology, Consumer Electronics and/or Retail industry is strongly preferred
