AWS Workspace Engineer

Experience: 5.0 to 7.0 Years

Location: Pune

We are seeking a skilled AWS Workspace Engineer to join the clients Information Services End User Compute team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining AWS Workspaces Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of AWS services, VDI technologies, and strong problem-solving skills to ensure seamless operation and optimal performance of our virtual desktop environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implementation:
  • Architect and deploy AWS Workspaces solutions tailored to meet business requirements.
  • Configure and manage AWS Workspaces, including provisioning, scaling, and optimizing performance.
  • Integrate AWS Workspaces with existing IS infrastructure and applications.
  • Maintenance and Support:
  • Monitor and maintain the health and performance of AWS Workspaces environments.
  • Perform regular updates, patches, and security enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AWS Workspaces and associated services.
  • Security and Compliance:
  • Implement and enforce security best practices for AWS Workspaces.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Collaboration and Documentation:
  • Work closely with IS teams, developers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and operation.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Provide training and support to employees, contingent workers and other IS staff.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Expertise:
  • Strong experience with AWS Workspaces and related AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, etc.).
  • Proficiency in VDI technologies and concepts.
  • Knowledge of networking, security, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Problem-Solving Skills:
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Certifications:
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or similar certifications are highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
  • Familiarity with other VDI solutions (e.g., Azure Virtual Desktop, VMware Horizon).
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and best practices.
