Location: Toronto, ON M5X 1A1 (3x per week in office, flexible but team goes in Tues-Thurs)
Duration: 24 months
Contract Type: T4 only
Working Hours: 37.5hrs/wk
Pay Rate: CA$41.38/Hour

Role Mandate:
  • We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional to join our team as an Associate, Strategic Relationship Management.
  • This role is focused on strengthening relationships with institutional clients, driving continuous service improvements, and supporting business retention through proactive engagement.
  • The selected candidate will be supporting the Institutional segments team and primarily acting as a liaison for onboarding activities between customers and legal, compliance, AML, asset management, portfolio managers, operations, and business development teams.
 
Role Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
  • Strengthens relationships with institutional clients, ensuring business retention and delivering exceptional service.
  • Coordinates relationship management activities with internal teams, including Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Indigenous Banking, Indigenous Trust, Commercial Banking, and other stakeholders.
  • Proactive client engagement to identify and meet client needs.
  • Works with senior staff on larger and/or more complex client relationships and issues.
  • Conducts independent analysis to resolve strategic issues and provide insights and recommendations based on data and business strategy.
  • Develops, maintains, and executes a business plan, including relationship management strategies, to achieve retention objectives.
  • Prepares client and market summaries as required and participates in industry and prospect events to grow presence in the marketplace.
  • Provides timely and effective responses to client questions and issues, ensuring adherence to compliance, regulatory, and legal guidelines.
  • Monitors and tracks performance, addressing any issues and providing input into operational programs and product development.
  • Demonstrates effective use of customer relationship management systems and other tools to support reporting and communication.

Must-Have Skills:
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience and education (Business/Finance/Stats degree).
  • Growing understanding of relationship management and market dynamics.
  • Previous banking/FI experience.
  • Knowledge of Investment terms
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Collaborative mindset and the ability to influence and build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in data-driven decision-making and using insights to guide strategic actions.
  • Self-starter and strong time management
  • Professional and polished demeanor and comfortable with client facing interactions.
  • Proficient with Excel and Powerpoint
  • Previous experience with document collection and tracking.
  • Experience with eVestments database a nice to have
  • Project management/coordination experience an asset.
